What you learn on Travels

Each time you go on a travel you'll learn something. Some things are very obvious learnings like saying "thank you" or "hello" in the country's language. But more interesting and more profound are the learnings that you can’t express and maybe can’t even tell that they are there. These things change the way you see the world, the way you interact with people, the way how you feel and behave even back home. Shortly said they deeply change you as a person.

For me these kind of learnings are the challenges on a travel but as well the secret that keeps me going. That is what fascinates about traveling.
As an overall post I’ll write them down just as bulletpoints here. But I’ll definitely loose more words to one or another sometime.
  • Trust your instincts and listen to your emotions
  • Have faith in people and trust complete strangers
  • Being open to any kind of person
  • Make strangers to friends
  • Communicate with people without a common language
  • A smile always helps - both sides
  • Adjust to different circumstances and different cultures
  • Be inventive and cope with any kind of (unexpected) situation
  • Live for the moment
  • Enjoy silence and solitude as much as the hustle and bustle
  • Get along only with the things you can carry
